Architecture with community minded approaches.
The American Dream, where equal opportunity allows for anyone, citizen or immigrant
to reach for their highest aspirations. Where hardwork, blood, sweat and tears, can
pull anyone up and deliver unto them whatever they could desire. For many, included
in that dream is home ownership, something that has started to slip from our grasps
felt the most in the current generation coming into adulthood. When we take a step
back, we may see all that we've sacrificed, built, and consumed, have not manifested
happiness in ourselves. With housing prices rising, environmental impact concerns at
the forefront, it should be a priority of everyone to focus on securing affordable,
low environmental impact, and community orientated housing. At our firm, we are working
exactly towards that goal.
The website will be built to attract anyone interested in lower-cost housing,
environmentally friendly housing, community minded individuals, and especially members
of the current generation, who look towards their future anxious of how they will be
able to afford and secure housing for themselves. Another important group we will like
to attract are contracting companies, who with their skillset, will be able to pick up
our designs and plans, and form future partnerships with which to expand our vision.
Important aspects of our website will be to outline and clearly state our goals.
- Design & create low-impact, low-cost homes for the individual or single family unit.
- Offer services to redesign existing homes to incorporate more energy/environmentally friendly designs
- Design & create structures welcoming to multiple families or small communities
The website will emphasize many images with which to display the current work we do, in
order to build trust on top of a foundation of robust reputation. It will also incude
many images and renders of potential floor plans, renders of proposed structures, as well
as showcases to display new and innovative ways to keep our structures low-impact,
low-cost, or preferably, both.
We plan on keeping everyone interested with a timeline, or a roadmap, in which we will
detail how we plan on designing the future. There will be quarterly milestones placed
on the timeline in which we will use to help keep on track and on schedule. Weekly
updates will also be posted on the website for those interested in what is happening right
now with the project and what will be new on the website. The person responsible for making
and keeping these updates will be myself, Matthew.
"But how will this all come about?" you must surely be asking. Everything will be produced
in-house with the exception of using creative common images to showcase specific technological
devices/appliances and designs typically produced by engineers and not by our firm. As
architectural designers and drafters, we must display our prior projects to show we have what
it takes to see a site, develop plans, and bring forth a sound structure. Using
our own CAD software, we will showcase prior work in the form of floor plans, renderings, and
real world photographs of existing structures, in-work, and completed structures. Our proposed
structures will incorporate images and renders, utilizing the same CAD software we use currently.
Information that will be provided will usually be acquired from building codes such as the IBC,
or International Building Codes, and will be referenced as such in the website.
